Dark Track, Cold Nights

Message From Grace:

LAA Welfare Officier Grace Fairweather helps advise on how to prepare and motivate for winter training.

As the nights get colder and darker, training at the athletics track can feel a bit more challenging for our young athletes but with the right mindset and preparation, these sessions can still be fun and rewarding.
A simple tip for staying cosy during winter sessions is to bundle up in warm clothing (lots of layers!) and don’t forget those extra accessories like thick socks, gloves and hats.
Most importantly, staying positive and embracing the unique fun of winter training will help everyone enjoy the season even more. We’re so excited for a fantastic winter ahead.
