Leamington Athletics Academy (LAA) is a multi-event athletics club affiliated with England Athletics. As an Athletics club in Leamington, we offer training for athletes aged 5 – 18 years old in track and field events, inclusive of all abilities and disabilities.

May Half Term 2026
MAY HALF TERM TRAINING We still run sessions in half terms but this one has a Bank Holiday Monday , so only Wednesday is available to all athletes for training. WEDNESDAY 27th MAY 6.30 - 7.30pm Mini/Junior/ Yr 6/7 academies 6.30 - 8.00pm Teen Academy COMPETITION May is such a busy month for track & field athletics and we know lots of our athletes have already competed at the County Champs (insta video incoming) and many more are taking part in schools events. New Leamington Track
We are delighted to share the attached information about the new track and football stadium which will be built on Fusilers Way and ready (hopefully) for Spring 2028. If you want to know more, you are invited to come to the Public Engagement meeting organised by the council. Track Season Is Underway
NB: There is no coached training session on Bank Holiday Monday. This weekend sees the start of the Youth Development League (YDL) for U14 & U16 athletes, where our athletes will compete as a team, against other clubs in the league. WHY COMPETE? Testing oneself against the clock or against others in a competition builds resilience, gives purpose to training plans and improves self confidence. We would like support all athletes to develop these attributes so you can feel like a superhero . Get Ready for Summer Track
This newsletter will guide you through what you need to know about the summer track of 2026 and has information about competition fixtures, new age groups and how to be affiliated with LAA to compete. Any athlete wishing to compete must affiliate with England Athletics through their club.
